Lists of monuments
We have created a lists for National monuments and provincial monuments below. The lists of monuments have been created for each Province and show all the registered monuments in that specific province. This list was made available by SAHRA and encompasses all provinces.
As part of the competition and in conjuction with National Heritage Council (NHC) of South Africa, we are compiling a separate list for sites that must be considered for inclusion into the official roll. Below we have set up links to the list for each province. We invite all members of the public to participate in this ground breaking excercise. Please ensure that you provide as much details as possible for the site you are proposing.
Please note that the lists have been havested as raw metadata from SAHRA and may indeed contain errors. You are invited to correct any error you notice in the list and to add more information onto the list. We are tracking changes to each page and vandalism will not be tolerated.
